Founders Entertainment, the wonderful organization that creates what is Governors Ball, has announced the lineup for this year’s Meadows Music and Arts Festival which will take place at Citi Field in Queens, New York City in October.
Yesterday, summer officially began, so that means it’s American summer festival season! Already people have prepared themselves for some amazing lineups such as that of Budweiser and Jay Z’s Made In America Festival. And in comes another one for music devotees all over!
Having Yeezy there too should make the festival even better since the hip-hop artist’s performance was cancelled this year at Governors Ball due to weather conditions. On another plus side, Gov Ball ticket purchasers will receive a promo code via email for pre-sale tickets to Meadows Music and Arts Festival! Woo- redemption! Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, June 22nd, at 11 a.m. (EST). General ticket purchase will be available Thursday (June 23) at 11 a.m. You can get your tickets here at the site.
Tom Russell, partner in Founders Entertainment, said:
Launching the Meadows Festival in Queens this fall with an incredible lineup of music, art, food and culture is a dream come true…as a native New Yorker I grew up in awe of the innovative spirit surrounding Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. With this event we can shine a spotlight once again on this iconic neighborhood and bring with it the economic benefits, strong community partnerships and local hiring for which Founders Entertainment is known. We are so grateful to the de Blasio Administration and Metropolitan Hospitality for giving us this opportunity and to all the artists who have enthusiastically agreed to take this inaugural ride with us.
Some other interesting acts to perform at the festival include ZHU, Pusha T, Post Malone, Grimes, as well as an unknown and unnamed surprise artist! All of this extravaganza will happen on October 1st & 2nd.
The four-stage experience at Flushing Meadows Corona Park is sure to be a showstopper, especially with the dynamic list of performances to be displayed ranging from hip-hop to indie and electronic music.
The festival has also promised to have graffiti installations, as well as a high-end food and drink program.
