There you have it folks, finally, some man, that man being Calvin Harris, was bold enough to go ahead and write a break-up song about Taylor Swift! Ha!
Oh how the tables have turned. The new single that Calvin Harris has been working on is titled “Olé,” and is said to be about the big American EDM producer and his relationship with the pop songstress. Looks like after tweets and deletes and more, he decided the break-up didn’t go as well as he would liked it have gone. You can’t blame the guy when only a few weeks later, he finds Swift already lip-locking with The Avengers actor, Tom Hiddleston.
Ha, we all thought Swift would write one of her vengeful woman empowerment songs about him, but he wanted to manipulate the game a little bit. SAVAGE. Now he’s most likely got the singer-songwriter saying “Touché.”
Singer of the hit single “Love Me Again” John Newman features as the vocalist on this reggaeton track. Recently, the he and Harris were seen in Harris’ Snapchat on a ship headed somewhere to shoot a music video for the song! He’s not wasting a single minute to roast Swift.
Reporter Desiree O, of Brit + Co, noted that the song is apparently to be from Hiddleston’s perspective. In addition, TMZ reported that Harris feels for the Brit dude, nothing against him. Instead, Harris is pointing all of his fingers at the songstress and claims that poor Hiddleston is just under her spell. Yikes.
And if it wasn’t enough, his lyrics are very detailed, like:
“I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend. Being attentive, continue to pretend…”
“You’ve hidden my name in your phone so you can call me to tell me you’ve been going through hell. Left him alone and you booked in a hotel…”
“Low key you won’t tell none of your friends about me.”
Well, if Tay has really oh so swiftly moved on, then this new song about her really shouldn’t bother her… But let’s be real, this won’t stop her from writing a song in response to this track or just writing a break-up song in general. It’s what she does best. Nonetheless, the Grammy-award winning artist still enjoyed her Fourth of July with a party at her Rhode Island mansion filled with a lot of her celebrity friends.
On the other end, the “This Is What You Came For” producer was having a blast as well, hanging out with a bunch of his… lady friends… on the holiday. I’m guessing he really likes Independence Day.
Can’t wait to hear what the DJ plans to sonically construct to kick some Tay Tay butt? We can’t either. Take a listen to the track above now!
In recent news reported after word got out of Harris’ single “Olé” being about his break-up with Swift, turns out it actually is just a general song about disloyalty. A source from inside let E! News know that “this song has nothing to do with Taylor. He likes this song a lot. People can interpret the song how they want to, but in the end it’s just an artist expression.” And the song was completely made way before the split even occurred. Ah, well, guess we didn’t get the super hero to destroy the Swift-Break-Up Method, but at least it’s still a new track from the artist.
