Just this week, we heard from the electronic team Zeds Dead that they wanted to share with us a new track from their upcoming album Northern Lights, that will come out this fall!
So, here it is, “Blame” which features the Mad Decent producer Diplo and the Swedish bad-girl singer/songwriter Elliphant! It’s a killer track with an incredible buildup. It incorporates the trap/dubstep sounds and beats while still remaining true to the electric-dance method.
Zeds Dead revealed to fans that their new studio project would include a lot of fantastic collaborations with such artists as Diplo, Twin Shadow, Pusha T, Elliphant, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, Jadakiss, Styles P, and many more! Northern Lights is aimed to be one of their best productions, and with this single release, I think we are getting the right feel and vibe that they won’t fall short of that. “Blame,” is a serious yet fast-paced and thrilling composition that the Toronto-bred partnership formed with the pop sound. It’s melody forms nicely and Diplo himself was incredibly proud of the piece. This forceful and adrenaline-rushing track takes you on an epic journey of musical sound.
The duo told the electronic dance publication YourEDM in an interview about their new album that, “there is something undeniably captivating about the night sky. It’s almost like a direct projection of the unknown. The phenomenon of the Northern lights serves as a stark contrast to this –something vibrant and beautiful emerging from this darkness. It’s a cross roads where we feel a lot of our music exists and its something that we really wanted to further explore with our debut album and live tour. We can’t wait to bring you into this world over the next few months.”
Are you ready to enter their world? Once again, Diplo and the crew he works with have done it again. You can listen to the track above, right here, right now, go go go!
Whilst producing and mixing new music like this with people, Diplo is preparing himself for his Mad Decent Party coming up this summer! He recently shared a hilarious promo video in honor of the event starring actor James Van Der Beek.
Northern Lights is set out to drop this September through their Deadbeats company. And yes, we can expect Zeds Dead to go on tour in the near future for a Northern Lights Tour. So save up to see them! You can see a poster of their touring dates below to find out if they’re coming to a city near you:
