HAIM Cancels Concert Tour For Album Production

Everyone’s favorite trio of ladies, HAIM, were on tour, currently rounding the US up for the European portion, until they cancelled it.

The female rock band has gone missing for a while, since 2013 to be exact, and they don’t have many excuses for as to why this is the case. That’s basically three years of nothing for us to sing along to or rock to, HAIM! Their last album was the beloved Days Are Gone that got them started in the industry and built their fan base. These Cali-sisters are known for their fun, summer, boho vibes and it’s a shame that we never were given new material for this summer, but all good things come to those who wait.

I guess for those who have been dedicated to the band and have been seeing them on their current tour, they got to hear some of the new music during the show! So, in this case, we definitely know that they are working on a sophomore LP and that it is on its way. Yet, we can’t have it all. The Cali-sisters recently announced that they are going to cancel their summer festival performances at Way Out West music festival in Sweden and Reading and Leeds fest in the UK, as well as, going to skip over their European based tour stops because they need the time to work on their album.

I guess we can sympathize and understand. Plus, we’re all patiently waiting for new material. So last Wednesday, the girls took to Twitter to post a picture of a hand-written note explaining their sincerest apologies to the fans. “We’re at a critical point in finishing up and need to stay close to home,” asserts the band. Their last stop will take place at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal, and then they will take some time off to work on more of the album and then finish up the tour in Austin, Texas. Let’s hope this is the album we’ve all been waiting for, that no more procrastination takes place, and that we get a release date notice soon. Stay tuned!
