Dang!
In this music video we get a vivid and colorful representation of the funk-rap ballad that Mac Miller and Anderson .Paak released just last week. The song now has a vibrant story line to follow along the whimsical characters that are Miller and .Paak. The visual shows both men trying to explain to their women that they’re still into them, yet the female foxes seem to be uninterested in them both. The pair are hysterical, while .Paak wears a neon pink windbreaker, and Miller fronts a floral football jacket. The overall illustration of the song perfectly matches the pop/fun vibe the men carry throughout the single, with a swing here and sway there, the two dance around by flower adorned wallpaper and laundromats. Then, much like a JC Penny commercial, a flash mob of dancers in bright garments begin to dance behind the hip hoppers masked by their fly shades.
In addition to this release, Miller also gave some exciting news about his own work when he announced that he will be releasing his debut album The Divine Feminine this fall on September 16th. He revealed “Dang!” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 program last week and now we have the cinematic accompaniment directed by Rex Arrow this week!
Miller has also placed his tour dates for his new album starting out in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 18th ,and making his way all through the country and then up through Canada and back to the states, ending in Baltimore, Maryland on December 18th.
.Paak has also been doing a bunch of his own work like premiering an unreleased song at his recent performance titled “Bubblin’.” This 2016 XXL Freshman artist is undoubtedly a rising star, already making big hits with his unique and mysterious music.
